This development is not so strange, in the middle of a pandemic. Where people normally  tion, this has now shifted to virtual and hybrid events. Even in a future where hybrid working is more the norm, such audio conversations can be a solution to get different speakers ‘in the room’ together. Think for example of panel discussions or round table sessions.

The opportunities for LinkedIn Audio Events

While LinkedIn Audio Events isn’t exactly a groundbreaking feature and may be a bit late to the party  b2b email list  there are plenty of opportunities and benefits to consider.

For example, LinkedIn has the advantage over Clubhouse that LinkedIn members have already built a business network and use the platform to maintain and expand that network. If you have a LinkedIn account, you don’t have to download a new app or create a new profile.

So you don’t start at 0 on LinkedIn, which means there’s a good chance that you as a host will immediately have some listeners from your network. Or that you as a listener will more easily discover an Audio Event of an interesting business relation. Something that can sometimes be a challenge with other live audio tools.

Furthermore, LinkedIn ‘knows’ you well based on your profile and activity. This allows them to recommend relevant  search engine optimization mails events based on the creators, pages or topics you follow.

A LinkedIn Audio Event is simply yet another way to establish new business relationships and have conversations related to your field of work.

Availability of LinkedIn Audio Events

The ability to host an Audio Event on a specific topic will initially be available to a few thousand creators. However, all LinkedIn the handy checklist below was  members can join in digitally and participate in such an event.

In the coming months, the host feature will be rolled out to more members. Next on the LinkedIn agenda is the introduction of Video Events in the spring: a similar feature, except that the speakers are on screen.
